Two conditions decide whether a Pak-eSim profile will work: your phone has to support eSIM, and it has to be factory unlocked. Both take a minute to check.
Will your phone work?
Two things matter: your phone must support eSIM and it must be factory unlocked. A network lock from a foreign carrier will stop the profile from connecting, even on a recent handset.

Does your phone support eSIM?
Open your settings and look for an option to add an eSIM or a mobile plan. If it is there, your phone supports eSIM.
- iPhone XS, XR and every model since.
- Google Pixel 3 and newer.
- Samsung Galaxy S20, Z Flip and Z Fold lines and newer.
- Many recent Motorola, Huawei, Oppo and Xiaomi models.
Regional variants differ. Some models sold in mainland China and Hong Kong ship without eSIM support even when the same model elsewhere has it.
Is it factory unlocked?
A phone bought on contract from a foreign carrier is often locked to that network, and a locked handset will reject a profile from another operator however new it is.
On iPhone, Settings, then General, then About shows a Carrier Lock line: it should read No SIM restrictions. On Android, the quickest test is to insert a working SIM from another network and see whether it registers. A phone bought outright is almost always unlocked.
Using it as a second line
Your Pak-eSim profile is a data line. On a dual-SIM phone it runs beside your physical SIM, so your usual number keeps taking calls, SMS and bank OTPs while the eSIM carries the data.
If there is no physical SIM in the phone, the eSIM still gives you data, but you will have no voice or SMS at all. Plan for that before you travel.
